Iron Man at Rolex

The Rolex 4* was this past weekend and I, like most eventing fans, was glued to the free live stream.  Michi Jung's third consecutive win was something else to see, and all three phases were so fun to watch, but I think one of the outstanding stories was about Phillip Dutton.  PD has a reputation as the consummate horseman and he placed fourth to be the highest placed American and win the US Equestrian 4* title with Mr. Medicott.  It was PD's fifth time winning this title. Even more impressive was that all three of the horses he competed placed in the top ten and those three placings gave PD 40 total completions at Rolex.  40.  Just at Rolex.  Leaving out all his other 4*, WEG, and Olympic placings.  And he is 50+ and still completely on his "A" game.  Amazing competitor and horseman!
