TSF StretchTec Shoulder Relief Girth Review

In a word I LOVE this girth.  I’ve had it about 2 weeks and it works well with both my saddles, the Pegasus Butterfly and the Bates Artiste.  Using the Pegasus it freed him up a bit but IMHO it makes a much bigger difference when riding in the Artiste, with Cruise immediately more forward, swingy, and having a better balance at the canter.

The StrechTec is supposed to give shoulder relief and keep the saddle from sliding around while not needing to tighten the girth as much and I have found that to be true.  I don’t know what magic they’ve done but I can leave the girth significantly looser with no saddle movement side to side or back to front.

I don’t know if it’s the shoulder relief, the elastic in the middle, or voodoo but this thing works.  I ordered the sheepskin liner model and it is very nicely made with quality fittings and nice leather.  One thing I really like is that every girth comes with a Velcro on liner for cleaning or to change out to say leather or neoprene.

This girth is a little spendy but given that I am able to ride in my favorite saddle again it is cheap at the price.  Time will tell if this pairing stays comfortable for Cruise but so far I highly recommend!
