Yes, we are still working away this Winter even though there has been no photographic evidence! Yesterday and today were so nice, unbelievably in the 50's, that we were able to ride outside a bit. Nothing too exciting, but really great to get out of the tiny indoor and test drive a few improved things like better halts and half halts(yeah-balance!), the ability to regulate Jet's length of stride just with my seat, and easily being able to control track/shoulders/haunches for a straight(!!!) pony.
We should be riding outside consistently sometime in the next 4-6 weeks and these two days have given me a good game plan until we get there. Lots more trot/walk/trot, trot/half-halt/trot, trot/halt/trot, canter transitions through trot and walk, smaller circles at walk and trot, and lots of emphasis on having a true bend/straightness both directions. Then when we get outside, back to work on the different school figures, easy lateral work, and counter-canter. Can't wait!
