Super third dressage show of the year with Jet. First time he has ever performed at a show exactly like at home. No spooks at ANYTHING, even the judge's stand, completely calm, focused, and on my aids. I just about teared up after the second test because he was just so flowy and good.
Both tests (Training 1 & 2) scored in the mid to high 60's for a first and second place and we were Reserve High Score for Training and above. The judge's comments were very complimentary including "lovely partnership". Really the only things she wanted to see were a slightly more uphill balance/withers lifted a little more and for me to sit up a touch. Fair enough. I was just so pleased he wasn't tense that I let him go in a slightly lower frame and worked more on being supple through the back.
We need one more show to qualify for year end awards and will probably try to do an extra after that just for calm mileage. Thinking about adding in Training 3 and possibly dipping our toes into First for the last show. Stay tuned!
